Yes — Hillgate is well-suited to corporate retreats, team off-sites, yoga retreats and wellness-focused group stays. With more than 330sqm of indoor living space and multiple indoor and outdoor areas, the property allows groups to gather comfortably while still having room for privacy when needed. Hillgate’s layout is ideal for groups where guests may not all know each other. All five ground-floor bedrooms have direct exterior access, and four have their own private patio or deck. This allows guests to enter or exit their rooms without having to walk through common areas. Two bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, and the other bathrooms are shared by no more than two bedrooms each. There is ample space for structured activities, whether you’re holding team sessions around the large dining table, breaking into smaller groups in the Snug or Bistro, or using the pool deck, terrace or lawns for yoga, group activities or outdoor workshops.

How many guests can Hillgate accommodate? Can extra people stay if they bring their own beds? Hillgate comfortably accommodates up to 13 guests across six bedrooms, with flexible bedding configurations. This makes it ideal for large families, couples’ groups, and retreats that need both shared and private spaces. No more than than 13 guests can stay. Although Hillgate’s expansive scale could support additional beds and a higher occupancy, the owners have intentionally limited the occupancy to 13 guests. This choice preserves the sense of space, serenity and comfort that defines Hillgate—ensuring guests enjoy the luxury of privacy as well as generous shared areas. Will it feel crowded if we spend all of our time onsite (rather than going sightseeing each day)? Hillgate is perfect for comfortable, experience-focused group stays. Most guests spend the majority of their time enjoying the home, pool and grounds rather than simply using it as a place to sleep. It’s a property you stay at to relax, unwind and enjoy, not just to rest between outings. With more than 330sqm of indoor space, oversized rooms and multiple living areas, there's plenty of space for everyone. Outdoors, guests can enjoy the fire pit, large terrace with pergola and festoon lighting, garden courtyard, private bedroom decks and more than three acres of park-like grounds. Rainy days aren't a problem at Hillgate — the home feels uncrowded & relaxed, even with a full group indoors, and the covered terrace provides a sheltered outdoor spot to unwind. Guests often say Hillgate is bigger than expected and never feels crowded, even at full capacity.

Is there a swimming pool? Yes — Hillgate features a 15-metre heated mineral pool, large enough for lap swimming. The pool area includes countryside views, landscaped surrounds, and outdoor seating for relaxed group enjoyment. The pool is heated for year-round swimming and the entire length of the pool is fully visible from the terrace and kitchen.
